Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

OpenHTML is designed to be private by default. The app runs entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit or sell your personal data. This page explains exactly what that means.

What we collect

Nothing. OpenHTML has no accounts, no analytics SDKs and no advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Your files

Files you open are copied into the app's private, sandboxed storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us or any third party.

Network access

By default, pages cannot load remote resources. You can allow network access per document; when you do, requests go directly from your device to the sites the page references — never through us.

Local storage & cookies

A page's localStorage and cookies are kept only if you enable persistence, and they stay on your device. You can clear them at any time.

What the app adds to a page

OpenHTML injects a few small internal scripts so its developer tools work — mirroring console output, recording network requests, inspecting elements and fitting the viewport. They run entirely on your device and never send your content anywhere.

Children's privacy

OpenHTML does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
